Terms & Conditions of Business

If you wish to proceed with the outlined work, we would require 50% non refundable deposit of the total cost. The balance will be payable upon immediate completion of all work.

All estimates requiring templates are budget estimates. Templates are re-measured on receipt at our works to confirm exact sizes. You will be notified of any alterations before we proceed. Whilst every effort will be made to position the joints in the worktops where requested by the customer, this may not always be feasible. Hob and sink cut outs may sometimes be dome as slips, but customers will be informed in advance if this is necessary.

Jointing as shown may not offer optimum joint scheme. This may reviewed at time of templating with a consequent price adjustment notified prior to manufacture.

All units are sealed with a proprietary granite and marble sealant on completion of installation.

Where stone dimensions are specified these are nominal and tolerances of plus or minus 2mm or 2% must be allowed for. This relates to the thickness of the material, depths and widths and bowing of stone.

All items are individually produced by craftsmen, minor variations to design and profile will therefore occur.

Before templates are taken any existing worktops must be removed and all base units firmly and permantely fitted in place. All taps, inset sinks and hobs must be disconnected so that templates can be made flush on the base units. Any fittings that are going into the worktop, such as sinks, hobs etc. or their associated templates must be in position or have their position clearly marked. Under mount sinks must be installed. Please ensure adequate support is provided prior to installation.

In some instances it may be necessary to fit slips of stone back and front of inset/drainer units and hobs. You will be advised of this at time of templating.

It may be necessary to fit solid timber base or batten on top of units where integrated appliances are to be fitted. You will be advised where this is necessary.

At templating please pay particular attention to edge detail, up-stand height and position, tap hole size, position of joints, depth of over-sail over the unit fronts and sin cut outs, radius corners, and drainer grooves. No alterations to design or layout are possible once templating is complete and you will be asked to sign off the templates as correct upon completion.

Once templates are made it is essential that no alterations are made to the area where stone is to be installed especially plastering, tiling and the moving of cabinets and appliances. Alterations after templating will be subject to a re-templating charge and a delay in fitting.

Stone is natural material and thus subject to variation of both colour and marking between slabs and batches of tiles. Whilst every effort is made to purchase and use consecutive slabs we cannot accept responsibility for any claims based on variations in colour, marking or texture. Some granites are prone to natural pitting.

All granites, lime stones and marbles are sealed on completion of installations.

Once installed you are provided with a standard care kit. Following the instructions end enclosed, using the products supplied will help protect your new surface.

Once materials are delivered and installed, we do not undertake to offer any guarantee or warrantee that the goods supplied will not be affected by exposure to any external influence that may cause damage or discolouration.

Once templates are delivered to our works or exact measurements taken on site, we reserve the right to adjust prices to reflect changes in specification to the original, customers will be notified of any additional charges prior to commencement to production.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to check all goods on collection or completion of installation. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage caused or subsequently discovered.

Where delays, faults or discrepancies in material or workmanship are discovered following installation please inform the office immediately, we will not be held liable for any consequential losses, attendance or costs of other trades unless expressly agreed in writing prior to the commencement of the remedial work.

All goods are sold with all faults and in relation to such goods all representations, warrantees and conditions, express and implied, whether statutory or otherwise, are hereby expressly excluded.
